I love when House and Wilson are arguing in the middle of a big case, and the conversation goes like this:
House: You've been hiding something from me. And I've finally figured it out.
Wilson: I'm hiding lots of things from you.
House: I went through your place.. I couldn't believe what I discovered.
Wilson: Damn you weren't supposed to find out about the hole in my basement that I use for dumping bodies.
House: Yeah, well - *he freezes* Hole... hole... that's it! He's got parasitic worms up his ass!
*House rushes away, leaving Wilson sighing and thinking about how he should have hid his Beyoncé tickets better*

Old Murdle Fanart! (Mostly LogiTino)
The last one has a suggestive joke so yeah
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah, the good old days of “I don’t know how to shade so I’m just not gonna do it”, simpler times. I have some other sketches lying around that i never finished digitally, but I figured I could just redraw those since some of them would look better in my newer style lol.
Also trying to figure out the whole ship name thing, I noticed “oxymorons” is a common one (which I ADORE btw).
I think I’m gonna do some drawings of a few suspects later, I already have 2 of them done :]

Corpse au case fic where the trio decided to try cracking a murder mystery, except instead of angst it's a comedy of errors where they make everything worse.
Like. Danny comes out of a portal dead and translucent and glowing, and there's charred remains of a human body on the floor. So now all three of them are freaking out, and instead of asking for help, or finding an adult, or telling literally ANYONE, they decide to just. Get rid of the body. As one does.
So that's what they do: they break out Tucker's nice shovels (because god forbid Sam's family owned something as pheasant as a shovel, and Danny's too afraid of touching their family's Patented Fenton ShovelsTM for... reasons), they find a nice desolate clearing in the woods, and then they bury Danny's body like one would a very unfortunate hamster who met their demise too soon under very suspicious circumstances. They even stay at the new "grave" in silence for a minute or five in respect and DEFINITELY nothing else, you know. And so, they bury the body, and then they (try to) forget the experience as some horrific nightmare.
And then, a year later, there's an uproar: the Amity Park's police department found the child's remains in the woods! And you see, Amity Park is not THAT big of a town, and the police estimated that the body belonged to a 14-15 year old child, and, look, there's only so many schools in a small town, alright. Obviously, the rumours start very soon in Casper High: about how the kid could've gone to their school, about how they could've died, about whether or not anybody was missing them, about their identity, and some definitely-truthworthy-would-I-lie-to-you-bro-come-on sources insist that the kid was murdered around a year ago, around the time ghosts started showing up. And these rumours obviously reach the ears of Sam, Danny and Tucker.
Now, you would've thought that their first thought would be something like "oh no, they found Danny's body", or "oh no, they know", or even simply "we're sooo fucked". Except. You see, the night they buried the body? It was really cloudy. And dark. And, y'know, it's very easy to get lost in a forest. And they were too high-strung, you see, they completely forgot to leave some sort of a marker or anything. And also like, it was so long ago, you know? A lot have happened, they were sooo busy and the likes, you can't really blame them for forgetting some things.
And here's lies the problem: all three of them just fucking forgot that there was a body left to bury at all.
And then it gets out that the police can't even conduct any sort of DNA test because it became corrupted to the point of being absolutely unrecognisable due to exposure to a large amount of ecto-energy.
It's now looks like a bad set up for a joke: an identifiable body of a child, cause of death unknown; the probable involvement of ghosts or at the very least a very large quantity of ecto-energy; a probable murderer on the loose, which naturally breeds suspicion and speculation; a town full of all kinds of rumours; and a trio of absolute dumbasses, who after hearing that ghosts were involved immediately went to stick their noses where they don't belong.
Rejoice, Amity Park! Sam, Danny and Tucker are now on the case! Except they are all teenagers, and nobody in their right mind will allow teenagers to solve a murder case. Plus, them poking around would be highly suspicious, but Phantom, on the other hand?
(people seeing Phantom helping solve this case and coming to the conclusion that the ghosts were definitely involved was not on their bingo card, but oh well)
They don't go to the cops, obviously: Danny at least in part because he's worried they will call GIW on his ass or try to arrest him, and Sam and Tucker simply because fuck the cops (one because the police is involved in a militaristic, capitalistic corrupted system that breeds injustice and furthers the divide between average people and the wealthy, and the other because cops suck and will probably call GIW on his friend's ass). They also can't go to any other authorities: cops are out of the question, as is the mayor; laboratory personnel will most likely just throw them out; and there're no witnesses or known relatives, so they're stuck.
Therefore they decide that desperate times need desperate measures, and so they enlist all of their ghost allies on a quest, hoping to find the ghost of the kid. Considering the amount of ecto-energy they were subjected to, they MUST have formed a ghost, they only need to find them.
Except. The Ghost Zone is a big place, and they only have so many allies, even if some of them are a queen and a god. So Danny bites the bullet and does the most stupid (debatable) thing he has ever done: he goes to his enemies for help. They're surprisingly understanding and willing to help, even if some of their reasons are a little... strange (Skulker and Johnny entered some sort of competition on who finds the ghost first, Box Ghost starts to seek out coffins (??) and Youngblood is not above to start torturing people to finally have a friend that is not either an adult or a complete stick in the mud). And even then they still can't find the ghost.
In the end Danny goes to Clockwork in a desperate hope that he will be able to glimpse at least a little of what had transpired on the night of the murder, and to Danny's annoyance Clockwork laughs so hard he almost pops a ghost equivalent of a blood vessel.
A few weeks down the line Sam hesitantly brings up Danny's buried corpse ("MY WHAT" "Your corpse which we buried in the woods, Danny, don't you remember?" "Yeah, bro, I think you dissociated the whole time we were digging the hole and carrying your dead body" "WE DID WHAT-"), reasonably saying that, you know, they ALSO technically buried a body in the woods. On that Tucker just shrugs because obviously it was not Danny's body, the place of the burial was way off, he remembers that there was a really big stone to the left of the grave (he doesn't and there wasn't), so they are in the clear. During that exchange Danny's sitting on the floor and having a panic attack, because he really did dissociate the whole time and afterwards legitimately forgot that there was a body to bury at all.
After that conversation all three of them leave with a certainty that Danny's body is still there where they left it, whenever it was. And so the shenanigans continue.

have you read Into the Wild Pale Yonder by Tellcosy?? its such a good DE fic its so devastating
i tried to read it, but writing a fic in the exact same format as the game is really boring to read. those two mediums are vastly different and what disco did was curated to handle large amount of text in a rpg game format, not as plain writing. having a list of chocies everytime harry wants to speak + lenghty internal monologue between different voices throws off the flow of the story. i might just never find a fic that i like, if it's not the style of writing then it's the constant harrykim pinning that bothers me ┐(‘~` )┌

okay this is really random but i feel like dead boy detectives is to supernatural as the sarah jane adventures is to doctor who
obviously i know dbd and spn aren't directly connected like sja and dw are but like...steve yockey's involved so theres not NO link there
but like yeah it does feel almost like an aimed at a younger audience version of spn. like...revolves around two very traumatised guys solving supernatural cases involving demons and ghosts and weird supernatural creatures, heavily features the idea of hell
and like sja and dw, it has the characters grounded in one 'hub' almost (the office/the tongue and tail in dbd, the attic in sja) whereas the bigger show has the characters travelling around constantly
idk just something random i thought about watching spn lmao, blame my dbd obsessed mind for connecting it to EVERYTHING

🧐🎃🎯 for the ask game please!!
hii!! I'll put the first question last, cuz I add an excerpt from dfd to show the research lmao.
[ask game]
🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?
Fics specifically for holidays? Rarely. I only have always one foot in, always one foot out (Christmas-ish fic). Usually, my story timeline just happens to overlap some holidays, so I end up writing about them (e.g. Mazzaroth - Halloween chapter) or the next two three chapters in DFD that are during New Year's, but I never make a conscious effort to write something specific for them, lol.
🎯 Have any of your readers accurately guessed major plot points? Care to share which?
Generally, nope. In my previous era of writing, on Wattpad, people really didn't believe I would be that bold. In this era, I don't have anything to guess about yet. I sure hope nobody does, though, when the time comes.
🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories?
Too much time, actually lmao.
For Mazzaroth, I had to do a lot of reaserch on kids' development milestones. I sometimes felt like a weirdo for looking up stuff for some specific situation, because I would just scroll hundreds of pages of parents sharing anecdotes about their kids and I was just there taking notes lmao. I do a lot of research regarding wounds of any type for accuracy purpose and I also study pictures. I even had to look up infected wounds, so that was another whole experience.
For DFD, I am spending a lot of time looking up Medieval Castles (structure, people working there, positions, ranks) and fishes (types, behaviour - as in personality lmao).
Generally, I also spend a lot of time also on Google Maps to accurately describe my characters movements, so much so that GM is asking me reviews of some places, LMFAO, but yeah, I can exactly tell you where Corky and Jessica & Ludovic live - street name and building - as well as where Wammy's is located in my fic and why. I just love grounding my work.
For DFD, I also have to be very accurate with anything regarding investigative/FBI work, so I research laws (found out the truck driver in chapter 2 is going to prison for negligent driving causing death ☠️) and e.g. in chapter 4, I determined what drug Kiichiro Osoreda was using and analysed his bus hijack based on that.
Pasting that part (a bit long, but it's just to show how my researches play a role in my stories):
I get to the end of the page and the news of a recent bus incident catches my attention, although it has nothing to do with Kira, since the headline does not mention them, not even with a question mark.
Hijacking of a bus in the capital at the hands of Osoreda Kiichiro. He dies hit by a car soon after.
BY THE EDITORIAL TEAM | 2003/12/20
It is from about ten days ago, but it continues to be recommended; therefore, it seems to be a popular story. It is not difficult to understand why: Kiichiro Osoreda tried to rob a bank the day before, shooting in the direction of the teller and two customers as he fled. The teller died and one of the customers sustained quite serious injuries.
The article mentions that he had a drug addiction, without clarifying what this was. The only photo present is the mug shot, and he doesn't present the typical traits of methamphetamine and cocaine abuse: he has no sores, no unnatural loss of hair or eyebrows, no blackening of teeth. He looks quite thin for his build and struggling to breathe as he keeps his mouth open, which is usual among opioids, because they depress breathing. His teeth are surprisingly healthier than I expected, but they show signs of deterioration from grinding, while his eyes are typical of heroin addicts: pinpoint pupils, red sclera, and heavy eyelids.
If I were to make a guess, I'd say he seems to fall within this last category, especially considering his crime.
Those who are addicted to heroin tend to commit criminal acts in order to support their use, and I recently read a report that was able to determine a correlation between heroin use and armed robbery. They could not interview them in a qualitative way, so they looked at the percentage of heroin overdoses and robberies in a given area over a given period of time. They noticed that for every ten percent increase in heroin overdoses, robberies also increased by five percent. The latter can be of different types and, at the time of the research, only fifteen percent of the cases were aimed at banks. In addition, they noted a rather cyclical trend, with peaks and troughs in the number of robberies per year.
However, he does not seem to have planned anything, if he could not even get a way out without having to operate a firearm, although this may not be impossibility of doing otherwise, but rather absence of scruples. This is slightly unusual for those who continue to use heroin on a regular basis; hence, I'm inclined to think that he was beginning to experience withdrawal effects, which could be linked to hallucinations on the bus.
This is not very common, but it is a known effect that heroin withdrawal can generate psychotic symptoms. We should always keep this in mind when questioning suspects or taking witness statements, because there is always a risk that the defence may doubt their legitimacy. Usually, those who suffer from it already have underlying health problems, but I cannot access his health history.
However, reading the driver's testimony, there is something not quite right.
“Yes, exactly. The man came in and started yelling saying that the bus was controlled by him. He ordered me to call my company to demand a ransom. He also put a gun to my temple,” the bus driver states. “Then, a boy sitting in the last seats dropped a paper. He went to pick it up. He got angry and started ranting and shooting. The police say in a delusion. He ordered me to stop and got off the bus. And he got run over.”
Put like that, Kiichiro Osoreda seemed to have gotten angry about the boy's sheet and that is why he started shooting, but I cannot latch onto that aspect, because the driver may have difficulty telling what exactly happened during such a traumatic episode. Moreover, he had no way of seeing exactly what was happening, only hearing it.
In any case... Did the hallucinatory episode start suddenly? Were there no visible signs beforehand? How long were they on the bus? I was going to speculate that the dropping of the paper might have been exacerbated by an auditory-type hallucination, but he waited to pick it up to get upset.
Perhaps he got angry because the boy was trying to communicate to others what to do to stop him? I can't be sure, but I don't think so, otherwise he would have shot him. He showed that he was capable, without any remorse. He could have made an example of him and demanded more compensation.
Strange that he did not, just as it is odd that he was able to shoot in confusion and hit no one. It is a miracle, because he must have had a static hallucination – the best kind in this case.
Why didn't Kira kill him, though? He was already a criminal and wanted. Even in the case where Kira only killed convicted people, which they proved they don't do, he would surely have been locked up in prison. I doubt that he did not learn of his name, since the robbery was news in this region, in which they are located.
He was a danger, so why didn't they do anything? Or... Did they really do nothing?
I let out a laugh at the absurdity of that assumption. Kira only kills by heart attack, and they would have had to be on the bus in order to be aware of what was going on and who was responsible. I don't even think they would have waited that long to take him out, since they risked putting everyone in danger. They would have killed him immediately, as soon as he announced his intentions of hijacking the bus.
But… Again, how does Kira kill? With their mind? It's incomprehensible. With what we have at the scene, the paper is the only thing that came in contact with Kiichiro Osoreda's body, and after that, he hallucinated... It is not possible that this is the trigger for the episode.
I wonder what he saw that was so frightening... A Shinigami?
I laugh again.
I searched for images of them, and I must say that if something like that appeared before me, I too would have a heart attack, but no matter how much it would adhere to the absurdity of the case, I doubt that it is what he saw. It cannot be the reason why he ran away.
However, I cannot get his moments of lucidity during this event out of my mind. He manages to give precise orders to the driver on what to do, without showing symptoms of any kind, otherwise the driver would have mentioned it, and he manages to feel a paper fall and pick it up, but after that... He suddenly hallucinates? He shoots and runs away in a fairly rational way, clearly communicating to the driver to stop. He did not try to escape through the windows or by throwing himself against the door. Panic and paranoia, especially in a time of psychotic episode, play tricks on people's rationality, and his behaviour is very consistent and orderly.
It really looks like that guy did something with that paper for a moment.

Artfight’s coming up so what better way to distract myself than with some concept art and ref sheets for the original storyline I’m coming up with.
BLINDSIDE [name still pending] involves the story of Inspector Cross, one of the finest private detectives in the field, having solved numerous cases in the past without his sense of sight. When his partner goes missing, he’s forced to come out of retirement and work alongside Detective Spinster, a newcomer to the private detective scene trying to get her private practice off the ground. With a stack of fresh cases added on top of their main investigation, they’ll learn that there’s more to their work than meets the eye.
Now I’ve had ideas for stories in the past, but this feels like the first time I’ve ever put something into fruition. Nothing’s super official yet, but this feels like something, if developed further, that I could be proud of.
Fun fact: This story, mainly the idea of a blind detective, came from the Monk S5E4 episode “Mr. Monk Can’t See a Thing”, where Monk has to solve a case temporarily blinded. I thought that it was such an interesting concept for an episode, and I thought to myself, ‘what if there was a detective that solved cases blind? Like if he was just as attributed as Monk was, but was able to do it without his sense of sight?’, and so the storyline begins. I thought about that episode constantly for months on end and was inspired to make a detective series of my own.
I wanted Cross to be kind of a jerk and generally cold as a character. Kind of similar to Monk’s ‘not really wanting to get involved with clients cause they’re a hassle and I’m not good at socializing’ kinda vibe (especially in the later seasons when the writers made him more agitated and annoyed) but 5x more emphasized. This guy is a bundle of personality ideas that are in the works right now. I’m thinking the witty side of Gregory House, the pessimistic side of David Mitchell as well as the characters he often plays, the grieving of Monk but in an internalized manner - the list goes on. As for Spinster, I want her to be a ‘straight man’ of sorts, though she can be just as annoyed with Cross as he is with her. Personality-wise, I’m thinking Amy from Judging Amy, considering she’s taking on the role of Cross’ assistant to help her practice gain recognition, but also because she genuinely wants to help her clients and make sure their needs are being met.
Basically this idea is just a love letter to all of the detective stories and tropes I’ve been aware of thus far, having spent a year binge watching detective shows and appreciating what goes into stories like them. Hopefully this concept can go further and develop into something interesting!
